Security System Management

  • Door Entry and Intercom Systems
We fit a wide variety of Door Entry and Intercom Systems, whether simple audio systems, video entry, or a GSM system that can call residents on their mobile phones. All of our systems can be equipped with anti-vandal features.
  • Automatic Gates, Barriers and Bollards
Automatic Gates, Barriers, and Bollards are an excellent way of controlling entry into your home or business premises. They provide a visual and physical deterrent to anyone you do not want to access your property, and provide added safety to families with young children.

You can improve your security and safety by controlling vehicle movement, recording vehicles entering and exiting the premises, and using Selective Access Control Systems to ensure that staff or visitors in any business premises or residential site are safely managed.
  • Automatic Security Shutters
Security Roller Shutters can form an important part of a security plan for domestic, commercial and industrial premises. Security Shutters provide a physical barrier that acts as a visible deterrent to burglary and vandalism and complements other forms of security such as Intruder Alarms and CCTV.

We can install, maintain, repair and upgrade a number of types of Security Shutter, including:

Window Shutters - Shutters that cover areas from a small window up to a large commercial shop front.

Garage Roller Shutters - Roller Shutter style garage doors are quickly growing in popularity in the UK due to their ease-of-use, convenience, and a number of innovations that ensure they do not look out of place when installed. These shutters can be installed on anything from a large depot garage down to a residential driveway

Continental Shutters - A stylish method of keeping a property secure, offering significant heat and sound insulation while providing a visual deterrent to any would-be intruder.

Fire Shutters - Heavy steel shutters designed to prevent the spread of fire or smoke through a property.

Perforated Shutters - Used to cover shop fronts in order to provide a deterrent whilst still allowing ventilation and allowing potential customers to view window displays while the shop is closed.

Transparent Shutters - Transparent Shutters offer even more visibility than Perforated Shutters whilst continuing to provide a secure environment. This is excellent for jewellers, museums, and anywhere else where visibility and security are both important.
  • Access Control Systems
As Paxton-registered installers we can fit access control systems from a simple Paxton Compact System up to a full Paxton Net2 system that can be monitored and integrated with other security systems. We can also provide any combination of CCTV systems, Intruder Alarms, and Security Lighting, all of which can be linked and tailored to provide you with a full security solution.

We also install, maintain, repair, and upgrade systems from all other major manufacturers including PAC, BPT, HID, Honeywell, and TDSi.
  • Intruder Alarms
Our intruder alarm solutions range from basic detection and sounder systems to multiple site, wireless and fully monitored solutions all installed by our highly skilled installation engineers. We can provide the intruder alarm package to suit every home or business requirement. By providing superior equipment and an unparalleled service to ensure we deliver a better value for money solution for all our customers. Intelligent Security and Fire also supply monitored intruder alarms that qualify for police or emergency service response.
  • CCTV Systems
We have been installing CCTV systems for many years with great success. We can cater for CCTV systems from a simple one camera set-up to a system with hundreds of cameras.

A CCTV system can form an important part of a security plan for domestic, commercial and industrial premises. CCTV provides both a visual deterrent to would-be burglars or vandals and evidence of any incident that may occur, and complements other forms of security, such as Intruder Alarms and Security Shutters.

Remote Viewing and Monitoring of CCTV Systems

Intelligent Security and Fire can also offer remote viewing of CCTV via smartphone, laptop, tablet or desktop computers. This means that monitoring what is occurring at any property is as easy as checking your email.

The video is streamed over either a local network or the internet using a dedicated IP address or URL. In order to view images all you need to do is enter the IP or URL address and your user name and password using a dedicated program, app, or simply your internet browser.

Remote viewing can be easily added as a feature in properties with a CCTV system, and in most cases it will work with any broadband connection.

We also specialise in remote monitored CCTV systems. These systems can be very useful for large and exposed properties where criminals and vandals can pose real problems. Remote monitoring works by linking the cameras and detectors on site to a RVRC (Remote Video Response Centre). We are connected to the UK's leading Independent Alarm Receiving Centre, EMCS, which uses a highly trained team of expert operators, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

Designed to monitor, digitally record and, where required, action a response, the remote CCTV monitoring Intelligent Security and Fire offers gives you real, cost saving benefits and a high degree of flexibility and reliability over manned guarding solutions.

Fire Risk Management

  • Fire Risk Assessments
Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 there is a duty on the responsible person to take general fire precautions to ensure the safety of the people on the premises and in the immediate vicinity.

Whilst this will usually be the landlord, in the case of absentee landlords it may fall to the managing agent to assume this responsibility. We can provide a range of systems for reducing the risk of, detecting, and fighting fire, including Fire Alarms, Fire Extinguishers, Emergency Lighting, and Alarm Monitoring.

We can also provide a professional Fire Risk Assessment service. A Fire Risk Assessment ensures that you have taken all necessary steps to avoid fire from happening. Most insurance companies also require a Fire Risk Assessment to validate insurance policies.

We will visit the site, looking at specifications in detail. Our surveyors will then make sure that the design is compliant with any relevant legislation and fits in with the surroundings, allowing you to enjoy a system that is attractive and hassle-free. We will then provide you with a final quote for costs.
  • Fire Alarm Systems
We can provide fully customised and monitored Fire Alarm Systems. We can provide systems with all of the following features:

Remote Monitoring - Used in order to alert a Fire Response Service when one of your initiation devices registers a fire.

Smoke Detection - An automatic device that uses optical detection via a beam of light that is distorted by smoke, ionization using a radioisotope, or both.

Heat Detection - An automatic device that detects rises in heat and activates the notification system to a fixed temperature of heat, a rate of heat rise, or both.

Flame Detection - An automatic device that uses optical sensors to detect flames.

Aspirating Systems - An automatic device that draws air through a system of pipes and processes it using a laser-based detection unit. This automatic device can detect smoke before it is visible to the human eye.

Voice Evacuation Systems - A system that can play a pre-recorded message alerting anybody in the building to evacuate. These can also be used by staff to provide relevant information and instructions.

Public Address Systems - Used for personnel to address occupants of a building over a speaker system, providing them with information and instructions.
Radio Systems - Systems that bypass the need to wire your devices together, meaning that you can move them to where they are most needed.

Networked Systems - A system where two or more control panels can be linked together to form a system of devices.

Fire Alarm Graphic Annunciators - These are displays that give a graphic indicator of the location in which an initiating device has been triggered. These are useful in order for respondents to rapidly isolate the cause of a fire.

Fixed Extinguishing Systems - These systems are used to protect sensitive areas such as server rooms, archives, and control rooms. They fill an area with an agent in order to quickly extinguish a fire, and can be used for various types of possible fires.

Smoke Vent Systems - Smoke and Heat Exhaust Ventilation Systems remove smoke from a building allowing low level escape routes to be kept clear of smoke and reducing damage to the building. We can both fit and integrate Smoke Vent Systems with your existing fire and security measures.
  • Fire Extinguishers
We can supply and install a range of Fire Extinguishers including:

    • Water Fire Extinguishers
    • Foam Fire Extinguishers
    • Dry Powder Fire Extinguishers
    • CO2 Fire Extinguishers
    • Wet Chemical Fire Extinguishers
  • Emergency Lighting
Emergency Lighting is designed to provide immediate light in the event of a power failure, fire, or other event that leaves normal lighting not functioning. Emergency Lighting is subdivided into two different kinds of lighting: Emergency Escape Lighting and Standby Lighting. Emergency Escape Lighting is designed to allow safe escape from the premises in the case of an emergency, whilst Standby Lighting is designed to fulfill the role of normal lighting until any power failure is resolved. We can supply and install Emergency Lighting designed for the specific requirements of any property.
