Intelligent Security and Fire provide Access Control Maintenance Contracts for all types of Access Control Systems from single door systems to large apartment or office installations. An Access Control Maintenance contract will ensure that preventive maintenance service inspections are performed at regular intervals, thereby eliminating the possibility of unexpected maintenance costs and associated costs.

Intelligent Security and Fire customers can access engineers, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We provide maintenance contracts for all our installed systems and systems that we have taken over.

Just as our Access Control systems are designed and installed to the highest industry standards, so too is our commitment to customer support and maintenance. We have a fully qualified team of mobile engineers in contact throughout the London and the surrounding counties for our clients in line with the standards laid down by British and European Standards, Police Authorities, Educational Institutions, Local Fire & Civil Defence Authorities and District Surveyors.

Preventative Maintenance
In order to comply with European and British standards and to ensure that an Access Control system or door entry system remains reliable, it is vital that it is maintained regularly. Listed below are a selection of the checks that are carried out by our engineers during a routine preventative maintenance inspection / service visit:

  • Visual inspection of the system.
  • Check mains power supply including charging rates (where applicable).
  • Check battery power supply including charging rates (where applicable).
  • Check satisfactory operation.
  • Cleaning control components.
  • Check operation of all system components, recording any variations including: Token readers and keypads; Door hardware including all locks and lock releases; Control equipment,; PC (Net2 systems and other PC systems); Card Printers; Power supplies and Interconnecting cabling.
  • Bring to the customer's attention any damage, failure or items likely to cause a subsequent failure and, where appropriate, repair or replace any failed or deteriorating components.
  • Agree any variations from specification with the customer before leaving the site.
  • Log all test results.
  • Retrain the users on the use of the system (if required).
Intelligent Security and Fire are happy to undertake an access control and or door entry system maintenance contract for all systems regardless of who supplied or installed them. We can agree a schedule that meets your requirements and budget and ensure the access control system meets the necessary legal and insurance requirements.

All service contracts have access to our 24 call out facility, should you need any advice or attention to the systems we are just a phone call away. Our aim is to be on site within 4 hours of receiving a call out.
